The Circulatory System

The circulatory system consist of the heart and vessels which carry the blood around the body. The major vessels are the arteries and veins.
The vitality and tone of the whole circulatory system is absolutely necessary for life and to the integration of all the parts of the body.
Prevention of Circulatory Disease
Prevention is far much better than having to resort to curing a disease that has developed . There are specific guidelines relating to the cardiovascular system that should be kept in mind. They apply not only to those who already have a problem but to anyone who does not want to develop problems in that area.
Exercise and Diet - The most important single factor that causes problem in the circulatory system is the intake of fat. Most people in the Unites States eat far too much fat. We have all heard that we should eat unsaturated fats instead of the dangerous saturated ones, mainly by changing from animal fats to vegetable fats.
It is far better to eat additive-free, organic fat such as butter in small amounts, than larger amounts of over-processed ‘low-fat’ spread.
Smoking and Drinking - Anyone who has concerns about their health , especially about the heart and veins, should stop smoking and keep their intake of alcohol to a reasonable amount.
Dealing with Stress - We know that there is a close correlation between the level of stress your life and the occurrence of health problems. There are a number of tools available to us to help take responsibility in our lives and to deal with any stress or
emotional tensions that we may have.
Herbal remedies can help with tension, but it is far better and more realistic to go to the underlying cause within us and change it. Diseases can be prevented by bringing ease into our lives.
