GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND INFORMATION:
Common Mullein is a roadside wildflower that has yellow flowers that spike to six feet in height. It has slightly hairy, gray-green sulfurous-smelling oval shaped leaves that grow close to the ground.
The Mullein plant is native to central and southern Europe and western Asia, and in many temperate regions, including parts of North America. It thrives on sunny dry banks, roadsides, and waste ground.
Mullein herb is popular as a remedy for respiratory problems such as coughs, bronchitis, and asthma. It is also used to soothe sore throats and clear congestion.
