Fibrositis

Fibrositis is a painful chronic condition that is characterized by widespread pain with multiple tight and tender spots in the muscles. It particularly affects the large muscles in the back, neck and shoulders which become inflamed.

It also sometimes affects the muscles in the buttocks. Fibrositis can occur as a result of an injury, but is most likely to come about from chronic stress and tension or even poor posture.

Any anti-inflammatory herbs can be taken internally. Since stress is often a factor, look at herbs that are used for easing tension.

Herbs that can help with Fibrositis:

Valerian

St Johns Wort

Bogbean

Goldenseal

Willow

Primula
