In a literal translation of its Chinese name, yi mu coa, motherwort means “benefit
mother herb” and the leaves are very popular among Chinese women as a treatment
for menstrual difficulties.
It is an excellent tonic for the heart; it strengthens it without straining. It is specifically for an over-rapid heart beat that is brought on by anxiety and other such causes.

PREPARATIONS
Chinese motherwort is available as leaves or powder in Chinese pharmacies, Asian
food stores, and some Western health food stores.
Preparation and Dosage
Infusion
Pour a cup of boiling water Tincture
onto 1-2 teaspoonfuls of the Take 1-4 ml of the tincture

Combinations: It is often mixed with red peony root, dong quai, and aucklandia

A mixture containing Chinese motherwort, polygenetic,
pyrrosia leaves, and musk mallow seeds is used to treat kidney stones and bloody urine.
